Shaly is a light designer, scenographer, and installation artist. His work is based on experimentation with diverse spatial and immersive formats, ranging from traditional stages to site-specific installations and digital happenings. Using light, sound, and scent as his core tools, his work aims to drive the audience through subtle and highly detailed atmospheric compositions.

Shaly's research departs from exploring space as a dynamic and ever-changing system. He believes that to compose in space is a process of understanding not just what is perceivable but also the dimensions that remain invisible yet play crucial roles in the construction of an atmosphere, including the social, political, and extra-sensory realms.

His design work has been shown at the Palais de Tokyo in Paris, the Museum of Contemporary Art in Barcelona, and KunstHalle Bern. His work as an installation artist has been premiered at the Homo Novus festival in Riga, the Beyond the Black Box and Over Het Ij festivals in Amsterdam, the Prague Quadrennial of Performance Space, SAVVY Contemporary, and HKW in Berlin. Shaly holds a master's degree in Directing for Devised Theatre and is currently part of the IN.situ network. He has also been an artist-in-residence at Nástupiště 1-12 in Slovakia, WP Zimmer in Antwerp, and Workspace Brussels.
